Wargroove is a fun tactical strategy game in the same vein as Advance Wars on the Nintendo Switch. The game is extremely difficult at higher levels, which has led to a frustrating experience for some players. A few balance changes and patches have been released so far, but nothing as major as the upcoming Double Trouble DLC.
Wargroove Double Trouble DLC
The developers say this new free DLC is designed entirely with co-op play in mind. It adds a new story campaign with three new outlaw commanders. The co-op story campaign can be played couch co-op, online co-op, and even in single-player mode. It also introduces two new units — Thieves & Riflemen.

The update also includes some balance changes for the base game to address complaints players have had about difficulty. Those fixes include many changes to how much units cost. You can see a full list of all the upcoming changes in Wargroove at the official dev log.
Don’t forget the Wargroove Deluxe Edition physical version is finally releasing on October 29. The Nintendo Switch version is now available for pre-order from Amazon for only $39.99. It includes a physical copy of the game, digital soundtrack, strategy manual, a map, and stickers of many major characters.

Chucklefish plans on streaming a first look at the Double Trouble DLC update on Twitch tomorrow. The game will also be on hand to play at EGX London this weekend with the new Double Trouble DLC available for play. Don’t miss these great Wargroove maps to try while you wait for the DLC to drop.
