Shakedown Hawaii had a projected release date of 2017, but developer Vblank Entertainment has been radio silent since then. A new trailer released today finally gave us a Shakedown Hawaii release date. The open world successor to Retro City Rampage will debut on May 7th. That’s less than two weeks away.

The 16-bit game seems to take plenty of inspiration from Retro City Rampage, while giving players control of three characters. Players will change neighborhoods to their liking while building up a corporation using under-handed and violent tactics to take out the competition. Vblank Entertainment says a 3DS version of the game is in the works too, but it won’t be coming until after the Switch version.
