Nintendo revealed some interesting stats regarding indie games sales on the Nintendo Switch last week. The system has become an indie powerhouse for many developers, providing better exposure than Steam in some cases.
Nintendo’s best indie games on Nintendo Switch by sales include six titles that were present last year, proving just how powerful these games are.
Stardew Valley, Shovel Knight, Celeste, Golf Story, Enter the Gungeon, and Overcooked all made the list for the second consecutive year. Four new entries to the list debuted last year and included Overcooked 2, Undertale, Dead Cells, and Graceful Explosion Machine.

Out of all the games on the top ten list, I purchased most of them as soon as they were available. Each of them deserves their spot on the list, though it’s a bit surprising to see Graceful Explosion Machine up there.
It will be interesting to see which Nindies from the latest Nindie Spring presentation will end up on the best-selling Switch indie game list for 2019.
